In a bid to strengthen bilateral ties, External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh will be on a three-day visit to Canada from tomorrow (Sept 25, 2005).
Singh on Monday is scheduled to hold discussions with his Canadian counterpart Pierre Pettigrew to further strengthen and expand mutual cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries, an High Commission statement said in Toronto.
While in Canada, Singh will visit Ottawa and Montreal and have brief stopover in Toronto.
Singh will also visit the Canadian Parliament during the Question Hour on Monday.
The High Commissioner of India Shyamala B Cowsik will host a luncheon in honor of Singh, which is likely to be attended by several senior Canadian dignitaries, including
cabinet ministers and parliamentarians.
Pettigrew will also host a banquet in honor of Singh in Montreal.
Singh is scheduled to address a gathering of foreign policy experts organized by the Canadian Institute of International Affairs and McGill University on the subject on
Tuesday.
He will also have lunch with a group of Canadian writers and other intellectuals in Montreal.
