Washington: Finance Minister P Chidambaram, who attended the annual IMF meeting here last week, called on US Treasury Secretary John Snow, who is scheduled to visit India for an economic forum meeting in November.

Snow will be attending the India-US Financial and Economic Forum Meeting in India, a statement from the Indian embassy said here.

Chidambaram, who also met with President's Council of Economic Advisers Chairman Ben Bernanke, discussed ways to increase bilateral economic cooperation between the two countries. They also discussed macro-economic issues like the impact of high oil prices on global growth, financial imbalances and the G-8 proposal for debt relief for poor countries.
