Madumita Shukla murder: Amarmani's bail cancelled

New Delhi: The Supreme Court today (Sept 26, 2005) cancelled the bail granted to former Uttar Pradesh Minister Amarmani Tripathy and his wife Madhumani in poetess Madhumita Shukla murder case.

A bench headed by Justice Ashok Bhan set aside the bail granted to them by the Allahabad High Court and directed the couple to surrender.

The court said in case of any delay the state would have to take steps to take them in custody.

The court cancelled the bail bond which was furnished while they were enlarged on bail.
