New Delhi:
In a bid to ensure better security coordination during Assembly polls in Bihar, the Election Commission today (Sept 29, 2005) constituted a four-member team of senior police officers to oversee the overall law and order situation in the state.
The team, headed by Director General of Police (DGP) Ashish Ranjan Sinha, would include two additional DGPs - Abhayanand and Manoj Nath - and IGP Krishna Chaudhury, EC sources said.
While Abhayanand would oversee the movement of forces, Nath would look after their deployment during the polls.
The team would look after various issues concerning security, law and order and deployment of forces during the four-phased elections beginning next month, the sources said.
