New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam today (Oct 2, 2005) released commemorative coins to mark the 75th Anniversary of Dandi March on the 136th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Kalam later presented the coins of Rs 5 and Rs 100 denominations to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress Chief Sonia Gandhi.

Former President K R Narayanan, former Prime Minister I K Gujaral, Home Minister Shivraj Patil, External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh, Finance Minister P Chidambaram and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dixit were amongst those present on the occasion.
