'Produce White Paper on sources of foreign money'
Sunday, October 2 2005 13:38 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Accusing the Congress and Left parties, especially the CPI, of maintaining 'guilty silence' on the Mitrokhin papers, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President L K Advani today (Oct 02, 2005) demanded that the Government should come out with a White Paper on various sources of foreign money coming into India and appoint a Supreme Court judge to investigate how much truth is there in the former KGB official's revelations.

Addressing a press conference here, he said the details coming out of the Mitrokhin papers could be termed the biggest scandal of independent India, which should be discussed thoroughly and cannot be brushed under the carpet.

Saying that the Congress party's role in this matter was very significant, Advani said the silence of Congress and the Left, the two pillars of the present Government, is 'guilty silence'.

He asked the Prime Minister to take the issue very seriously and come out on his own with the source of foreign money into India in the last 58 years.
