India and Pakistan today (Oct 4, 2005) agreed to hold technical-level talks before December on starting a truck service on the Srinagar-Muzaffarabad route.
A joint statement issued after two days of talks between External Affairs Minister K Natwar Singh and his Pakistani counterpart Khurshid M Kasuri to review the progress in the composite dialogue process also said that the two sides will hold talks by the year-end on operationalisation of the bus service between Poonch and Rawalkote in PoK.
On Sir Creek, they agreed that a joint survey should commence before end of the year on delimitation of maritime boundary so that it could be considered at the next round of the composite dialogue, the statement said.
