New Delhi: Petroleum Minister Mani Shankar Aiyar today (Oct 6, 2005) said there was no shortage of LPG in the country though there could be some administrative problems that were coming in the way of its supply.

The Petroleum Minister volunteered to explain the position during the Cabinet meeting. "He said there is no shortage of LPG as such though there seems to be an administrative problem", Information and Broadcasting Minister S Jaipal Reddy told reporters after the meeting.

He said Aiyar was scheduled to meet top officials of public sector oil companies later this evening to discuss the issue.
