UP Govt will honour Apex Court decision: Mulayam

Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Government will honour the Supreme Court directive regarding shifting of Chief Secretary Neera yadav, Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav said today (Oct 06, 2005).

"The UP Government has always honoured court decisions and would do the same this time too," he said reacting to the Apex Court directive on a PIL against the appointment of Neera to the highest post in the state's bureaucracy despite several corruption charges against her.

Yadav said the court directive had not caused any embarrassment either for him or his Government.

To a question as to who would be the next chief secretary, Yadav said, "we have been give seven days time by the Supreme Court, I would take the decision by then."
