A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed while landing at the Maharajpura Air Force base here today (Oct 7, 2005) after returning from a routine sortie.
The pilot Sqn Ldr V Gupta ejected safely, IAF sources said.
The deep-penetration strike aircraft was returning from a routine sortie when it crashed due to a suspected technical snag, they said.
There was no injury or damage on the ground.
A Court of Inquiry was ordered into the crash, the sources said.
