'Dissolution of state Assembly needs to be examined' Friday, October 7 2005 13:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Communist Party of India (CPI) today (Oct 07, 2005) said the Supreme Court's judgement on Bihar elections was 'interim' but its observations on issues like dissolution of the state Assembly needed to be thoroughly examined.
"It is an interim judgement of the Supreme Court. It has not stopped the elections. However, the Apex Court's observations on issues like the dissolution of the House need to be examined", CPI National Secretary D Raja said.
Asked about BJP-led NDA's demand for dismissal of Governor Buta Singh and questioning of the role of the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government, he said, "What else can they do? They are only trying to politicise the issue and use it for the upcoming elections."
