Advani writes to Pervez expressing grief over quake

New Delhi: Leader of Opposition and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President L K Advani has written a letter to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf expressing grief over devastation caused by the massive October 8 earthquake.

In his letter, Advani said the two countries should be together in this hour of tragedy and assured that the Government and people of India would do every thing possible to help the neighbouring country, BJP Vice President Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi told sources.

Meanwhile, Advani left on a tour of quake-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir, including Uri and Poonch.
