President, Prime Minister greets nation on Dussehra
Tuesday, October 11 2005 14:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today (Oct 11, 2005) greeted the people on the occasion Dussehra and wished them peace, happiness and prosperity.

"May this festival inspire all of us to forge ahead like Lord Rama and overcome all obstacles and triumph against all adversities as we march towards our missions," Kalam said in a message here.

He also appealed to the people across the country to spend time with the elderly and those in distress and help bring joy to them so that they also have a feeling of fellowship and celebrations.

The festival symbolises the victory of good over evil and that of righteousness over unrighteousness. It is an occasion to purge ourselves of our ego and help spread peace, happiness and goodwill everywhere, Singh said in a message.

Dussehra will be celebrated tomorrow (Oct 12, 2005).
