A strong aftershock rattled Jammu and Kashmir, especially Uri and Tangdhar areas, in the small hours today (Oct 13, 2005) triggering panic among survivors of the massive quake that claimed over a thousand lives last Saturday.
Met department here said the temblor, measuring 5.8 on the Richter Scale, occurred at 1:53 am. It classified the quake as moderate whose epicentre lay in Pakistan.
