A Sessions court in Chennai today (Oct 14, 2005) adjourned to October 27, the hearing of the Radhakrishnan assault case, after Kanchi Seer Jayendra Saraswathi, filed a petition seeking to dispense with his appearance in the court for the day.
In the petition filed on his behalf by his advocate K S Dinakaran, the Seer said he was unable to attend the court today due to a back ailment.
Allowing the petition, the First Additional Sessions Judge A R Selvakumar adjourned the case to October 27.
Except for the seer, other 10 accused in the case, including Junior Seer's brother R Raghu and Kanchi MuttManager Sundaresa Iyer were present in the court in the case
relating to the September 20, 2002 attack on a former Mutt employee and auditor Radhakrishnan, his wife and an attendant in the city.
