President A P J Abdul Kalam turns 75 today

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam today (Oct 15, 2005) turned 75.

Kalam, who is away in Hyderabad and will also tour Maharashtra, was greeted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Singh spoke to Kalam over phone and sent him a bouquet.

In his greetings, the Prime Minister said that the nation looks forward to continuing to benefit from Kalam's wisdom and guidance in the years ahead.

In Hyderabad, the President is participating in the celebration of the World Sight Day.

In Maharashtra, Kalam will visit the Pravara Medical Trust in Ahmednagar district and have an interaction with local farmers through tele-conference. He would also meet physically challenged children there.
