Two moderate aftershocks rattle Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: Two moderate tremors rocked Jammu and Kashmir today (Oct 15, 2005) creating panic among survivors of last weekend's killer quake in the state that left thousands dead.

Spotlight: Quake in North India

While the first temblor measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale was felt at 1.08 AM and lasted for a couple of seconds, another tremor was felt at 9.55 AM, the meterological department said.

There were no immediate reports of casualty or damage to property, official sources said.
