K'taka CM to examine Deve Gowda's alleged charges Monday, October 17 2005 16:16 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Bangalore:
Karnataka Chief Minister N Dharam Singh today (Oct 17, 2005) said he would 'examine' the letter of Janata Dal-Secular (JDS) supremo H D Deve Gowda who has accused 'some quarters' in the IT sector of making concerted efforts to destabilise the Congress-JDS Government and misusing lands for real estate purposes.
"I am going to examine the letter. He is our coalition partner and JDS President. When he has written a letter, it is my duty to look into it", Singh told reporters at the Bangalore airport after monitoring the despatch of first consignment of relief materials sent by Karnataka Government for the earthquake-hit victims in Jammu and Kashmir.
Asked if differences in perception towards the IT sector between Congress and JDS would have an impact on the coalition Government, he said it would not. "There will be no impact on the Government".
"Nothing will happen to our Government. It is stable like a rock", Singh said.
In hard-hitting missive to Singh, Gowda has charged that 'some quarters' in the IT sector were carrying on a 'malicious campaign' targetted in general against JDS and in particular against him and 'concerted efforts' were being made to destabilise the Government 'by these very same forces'.
