Mild tremors again rock Pakistan; Triggers panic

Islamabad: Two aftershocks rocked Pakistan today (Oct 17, 2005) triggering panic among people coming to terms with the massive earthquake that left thousands dead.

Tremors measuring 4.7 and 4.5 on the Richter scale shook Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Manshera divisions early this morning.

Spotlight: Quake in North India

Panic-stricken people left their homes during the tremors. However, there was no immediate report of any damage.

Some 400 aftershocks have rattled Pakistan since the October 8 earthquake.
