'Efforts to rectify perception of divided Parivar' Sunday, October 23 2005 11:04 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
New Delhi:
Terming as 'unfortunate' the public perception about divisions within the Sangh Parivar, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today (Oct 23, 2005) said it was concerned over it and was making efforts to rectify it at the earliest.
In an apparent shift in its stand, the Sangh fountainhead has also said that it would work along with other non-Parivar positive movements and organizations to play a crucial role in the country's destiny.
"Certainly, it is unfortunate that it appears to the people that those who believe in the Hindutva ideology are a divided lot. This is not good either for our organization or the Hindu society. We are concerned about it and we are making efforts to rectify it at the earliest," senior Sangh functionary Dattatreya Hosbale said in an article in the latest issue of RSS mouthpiece 'Panchjanya'.
Conceding that certain 'unpleasant developments and communication' had taken place in the ideological parivar in the last few months, he said, "It is due to this reason that at the Surat conclave Sangh General Secretary Mohan Bhagwat clearly stated that it would ponder over ideology, style of functioning, behavior and new generation."
