Prez contributes month's salary for JK quake victims

New Delhi: President A P J Abdul Kalam has contributed his one month's salary to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to support efforts to provide relief and rehabilitation to the people affected by the recent devastating earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir.

Spotlight: Quake in North India

This forms part of the contribution of Rs. 2.23 lakh made by employees of Rashtrapati Bhavan for the purpose, President's Press Secretary S M Khan said here today (Oct 25, 2005).
