More rains forecast as depression forms over Bay Wednesday, October 26 2005 16:21 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

A depression has formed over the Southwest Bay of Bengal and heavy to very heavy rainfall has been forecast during the next two days over North coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
Indian Meteorological Department sources said the depression, which was located in the southwest Bay of Bengal, 450-kms east southeast of the city was likely to intensify and move in a northwesterly direction.
Due to this, rains or thundershowers were likely over most places in North coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and at many places over rest of Tamil Nadu during the next 48-hours beginning at 0830 hrs this morning, IMD said.
Isolated heavy to very heavy rains were likely over north coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry during the same period.
