Jammu: Building up pressure to ensure installation of a Congress Chief Minister in Jammu and Kashmir, several youth Congress leaders have tendered resignations to the party chief demanding that Union Minister Gulam Nabi Azad be given charge of the state government.

"Yes, several of our Youth Congress leaders and office bearers have resigned supporting change over in J and K from PDP to Cong on November two," JK Youth Congress chief, Mohmmad Amin Bhat told sources over phone.

Bhat, who is camping in New Delhi, said that details of the exact number and names of leaders who have put in their papers are being collected.

Earlier, the state youth Congress organised three rallies in Srinagar, Samba and Jammu seeking the change of guard. Bhat said, "We hope that Congress high command would address our Congress constituency in J-K".

Sources close to Seva Dal chief, B S Samyal said the entire state unit of the party was also likely to resign en masse by this evening in support of a Congress Chief Minister.
