Radhakrishnan Assault case adjourned to Nov 11 Thursday, October 27 2005 13:17 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

A session's court here today (Oct 27, 2005) adjourned to November 11 hearing in the Radhakrishnan assault case in which Kanchi Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi is the prime accused.
When the matter came up before the court, the seer's counsel filed a petition seeking to dispense with his client's presence for the day on the ground that he was unable to reach the court to due to heavy rains and water logging.
Two other remand prisoners Appu and Kathiravan, who are also the accused in the case, were not brought to the court for the same reason.
Allowing the seer's petition, third Additional Sessions Judge A R Selvakumar adjourned the case to November 11. All the other accused were present.
This is the second case against the seer, the first being temple official Sankararman murder case. The case related to an alleged attack on former mutt associate Radhakrishnan, his wife and an attender, in 2002.
