London: NRI steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal has won this year's 'Asian Achievers' award for entrepreneurship for his outstanding achievement in the global steel industry where his company has taken the top spot.

Another NRI industrialist Manubhai Madhwani was honoured with the Lifetime Achiever's Award.

The Asian Achievers Awards 2005 was organized by Asian Voice and Gujarat Samachar, news weeklies here last night.

Young Sonia Deol, BBC Asian phone-in programmer was awarded the media, art and culture award.

Piers Morgan, well known media personality was the Chief Guest.
