Coimbatore: Though train services in Chennai area, especially long distance trains, were slowly returning to normal, nine trains to that destination remained cancelled today (Oct 28, 2005).

The Cancelled trains are, Chennai Erode Yercaud Express, Erode-Chennai Yercaud Express, Chennai-Coimbatore Cheran Express, Coimbatore-Chennai Cheran Express, Mangalore-Chennai West Coast express, Chennai-Alleppey Express, Chennai-Mettupalayam Express, Chennai Coimbatore Kovai Express and Coimbatore-Chennai Kovai Express, a Southern Railway release said here.

However, Mettupalayam-Chennai Nilgiri Express, Mangalore-Chennai Mail, Trivandrum-Chennai Mail, Chennai-Trivandrum Mail, Chennai-Mangalore Mail, Chennai-Mangalore West Coast express and Mangalore-Chenna Mail will run as usual, it said.

A Holiday special to Chennai would depart from here at 1145 PM, the release added.
