London: Strongly condemning the serial bomb blasts in New Delhi, an umbrella body of British Hindus has urged the UK to extend all help to India in its fight against terror and hoped that Indian Government would take a firm stand to defeat 'this blot on civilized life.'

"We urge the British Government to extend all help to India in its fight against terror and hope the Indian government will take a firm stand to defeat this blot on civilized life," Hindu Forum Secretary General Ramesh Kallidai said here yesterday (Oct 29, 2005) night.

The Forum also appealed to people of all faiths in India and of the South Asian origin in Britain to maintain a sense of unity and not let the terrorist agenda divide the communities.

"We condemn all forms of terror," Arjan Vekaria, Chair of the Forum's Security Committee said.

"Britain and India face similar threats from terrorism and both countries should cooperate to share information and good practices to reduce the terrorist threat," he said.

The Forum is the representative umbrella body for British Hindus with formal membership of over 250 Hindu organizations from different regions and cultural backgrounds in Britain.
