World must stand up to terrorist onslaught: China
Monday, October 31 2005 11:34 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Beijing: Terming the weekend blasts in Delhi as 'barbaric', the Chinese media today (Oct 31, 2005) said the world must stand up to the terrorist attack and foil attempts to sabotage talks between India and Pakistan on facilitating relief aid for the Kashmiri quake victims.

"Once again we have witnessed barbaric attacks carried out against completely innocent people by unscrupulous terrorists," sources said on the October 29 triple bomb blasts in New Delhi.

"The ugly face of terrorism has shown itself again, this time in our neighbouring country of India," it said while condoling the deaths and injuries.

"The blasts may have been designed to sabotage talks between India and Pakistan on facilitating relief aid for the Kashmiri survivors of the October 8 earthquake," sources said.

The international community should step up efforts to combat the terrorism scourge, which threatens global security, it said.

"A terrorist act is a terrorist act no matter how it is dressed up and no matter what organisation is behind it. Terrorism has no justification whatsoever. The killing of innocent civilians is simply a reprehensible activity and needs to be condemned in the strongest possible terms".
