Bihar police team search for J P Yadav in Delhi

New Delhi: A Bihar Police team today (Nov 4, 2005) came here today to arrest Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader and Union Minister J P Yadav, wanted in a case in the state.

The team reached the official residence of Yadav, Minister of State for Water Resources at 5, Ashoka Road but returned empty handed, police sources said.

An arrest warrant has been issued against Yadav in Bihar for his alleged role in helping his brother Vijay escape from police custody.

Vijay had been arrested during polling in Bihar on October 18 after he was allegedly found carrying large quantity of liquor, money and weapons.
