Volcker report: Sonia, Natwar meet Prime Minister

New Delhi: Congress president Sonia Gandhi and External Affairs Minister Natwar Singh are understood to have held a meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh this morning Nov 04, 2005).

The meeting comes in the midst of a raging political controversy over the Volcker report naming the Congress and Natwar Singh as beneficiaries in the Iraq oil deals and a strident demand of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the minister's dismissal.
