RSS for complete Indianisation of Constitution Saturday, November 5 2005 15:37 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Nagpur:
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) today (Nov 5,2005) called for complete Indianisation of the Constitution and stressed the need of a collective leadership in Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP).
"The Indian Constitution is a version of British constitution and all those laws need to be replaced suitable to country," RSS chief K S Sudarshan, who met a group of editors today while seeking their support in creating awareness was firm in his views for complete Indianisation of the Constitution.

Quoting Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar of an incident in September 1953, Sudarshan said "Even he had said that I will set afire Indian Constitution at the first opportunity."
"When Ambedkar was confronted that he (Ambedkar) was heading the constitution draft committee and how can you think of setting ablaze, the constitution, Ambedkar said, "I was compelled to do so (write)."
The first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru was a choice of British rulers and had influenced the Constitution draft, Sudarshan added.
Sudarshan, who had taken over as RSS chief after the then Chief Rajendra Singh alias Rajju Bhaiyya fell sick some years back, had raised the issue in his first formal press
conference after taking over at Smruti Mandir in city.
On BJP, Sudarshan who had earlier criticised outgoing President L K Advani, felt the necessity of collective leadership in the party.
Two leaders in the BJP, Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani had reached the top and collective leadership issue was sidelined, he said.
Giving example of RSS set up, Sudarshan clarified that "We take collective decisions and not by individuals (chief). RSS is a sun, which gives light to everyone. It is up to you to
use it," he added.
The chief is a friend, philosopher and guide, he claimed and ruled out any change in RSS leadership as there is no such situation at present.
RSS chief has expressed apprehensions about the rise in population of Christians and Muslims in the country." If you go by the statistics, the Hindus will be reduced to minority in some years time," he said.
Reiterating his earlier stance, Sudarshan said Christian missionaries were indulging in religious conversion.
"We are holding talks with them and trying to persuade them to refrain
from it," he claimed.
"There needs to be an Indianisation of Islam and Christianity in the country", he said.
On Muslim wedding issues, Sudarshan said all the marriages in the muslim community must be registered which is not done presently across the country.
Continuing his tirade Muslims and Christians, Sudarshan said both should be called as minority communities.
