Saturday, November 5 2005 11:39 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Breakthrough continued to elude Delhi Police yesterday (Nov 04, 2005) as they hunted for leads in the serial blasts case and questioned persons resembling a suspect whose sketch had been released on Wednesday (Nov 02, 2005).

A number of calls were received from across the city and even as far as Meerut about possible suspects and investigators were kept busy checking out the claims.

However, none of the suspects were found to be connected to Saturday's serial blasts.

With forensic reports yet to come in, investigators were still in the dark about the type of explosives used. Inpute were also being gathered from police and intelligence teams which had fanned out across north India and Jammu and Kashmir, a senior official said.

Delhi Police had released the sketch of a youth, aged around 21, who was alleged to have planted a bomb in a DTC bus in Govindpuri area of South Delhi.

While the portrait was prepared on the basis of the description given by the passengers and conductor of the bus, no sketch had been prepared so far of those responsible for the other explosions as no eye-witnesses had come forward.
