Bihar: 15 assembly seats polls deferred to Nov 16

New Delhi: The Election Commission today (Nov 7, 2005) deferred polling in 15 assembly constituencies to November 16 in view of security considerations, EC sources said.

The assembly constituencies where polling has been postponed are Lauria, Chanpatia, Bettiah and Nautan in West Champaran, Sugauli, Motihari, Harsidhi and Gobindganj in East Champaran, Runi Saidpur, Belsand and Sitamarhi in Sitamarhi, and Bisfi, Madhubani, Pandaul and Jhanjharpur in Madhubani.

These constituencies were among the 72 assembly constituencies scheduled to go polls on November 13.
