Field Marshal Manekshaw 'on the road to recovery'

New Delhi: Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, rushed to capital from his home in Wellington in Tamil Nadu with complaints of breathlessness, was today (Nov 08, 2005) reported to be 'well on the road to recovery'.

"His chest ailment is well controlled and his general condition is stable", Major General O P Mathews, Commandant of the Army research and referral hospital, said in a medical bulletin issued on the health of the 92-year-old Field Marshal.
