Punjab police denies having given security to Sehgal
Tuesday, November 8 2005 10:28 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Chandigarh: Punjab Police yesterday (Nov 7, 2005) denied having given security to any Andleep Sehgal whose name has figured in the Volcker Committee report on the multi-billion dollar 'Oil for Food' scam.

A Punjab Police spokesman said reports appearing in a section of media that one Andleep Sehgal (whose name has figured in connection with Volcker Committee report) has been provided security by Punjab Police, are 'totally wrong.' "Of course Punjab Police has given due security cover to Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and his immediate family members," he said, adding, "No person by the name of Andleep had been provided security by Punjab Police."
