Narayanan on life support system, says agencies

New Delhi: Narayanan's condition continues to be critical, says different agencies now. But earlier different news agencies and television channels had reported that he was declared dead. But by two pm, the hospital issued a medical bulletin saying that he was still in "critical condition" and on life-support system

K R Narayanan, who was admitted to the Army Research and Referral Hospital here last week.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visited the former President at the Intensive Care Unit of the hospital to enquire about his health.

Singh also called on the Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw who is also admitted to the same hospital.
