Former President K R Narayanan passes away

New Delhi: Former President K R Narayanan died today (Nov 09, 2005) at the Army Research and Referral Hospital here.

Narayanan, 84, who has been suffering pneumonia and renal failure, breathed his last at 1745 hours, according to a Defence Ministry spokesman.

The spokesman quoted a bulletin issued by the hospital. Narayanan was admitted to the Army Hospital on October 29 after he complained of acute breathlessness. As his condition deteriorated, he was put life support system since October 31.
