Sreekumar wants Modi to undergo forensic tests Friday, November 11 2005 16:35 Hrs (IST) - World Time -
Ahmedabad:
Senior Gujarat police official R B Sreekumar has filed an affidavit before the Nanavati-Shah commission seeking Chief Minister Narendra Modi and other concerned officials to undergo forensic tests to extract details of the 'conspiracy theory produced' in connection with Godhra train carnage in 2002.
Sreekumar, an Additional Director General of Police and who was a senior official of the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) during the initial phase of the communal riots said in
his affidavit to Godhra Commission filed on October 28 that the SIB was used by politicians and some senior police officials to 'produce' a conspiracy theory, including the role of Pakistan-based ISI about the attack on the S-6 coach of the Sabarmati Express on February 27, 2002 without any sufficient evidence, sources in the Commission said.
Sreekumar has urged for all of them, including himself, to undergo forensic tests like polygraph test, narco-analysis and brain fingerprinting, the sources added.
In his 78-page affidavit which is yet to be admitted by the Commission, Sreekumar mentions how Modi and other senior officials met him on the day of the train carnage and
'produced' the conspiracy theory (that Muslims aided by ISI were planning to attack the Sabarmati express train), the sources added.
