PM honours K Subrahmanyam with lifetime award

New Delhi: Eminent defence analyst and strategic affairs expert K Subrahmanyam was today presented the lifetime achievement award by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

Subrahmanyam, who had a long innings in the Defence Ministry and headed the committee that probed the Pakistani intrusion in Kargil in 1999, is being honoured by the Institute of Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA), which he headed for a number of years.

The award, a silver plaque was presented by the Prime Minister during the 40th anniversary function of the IDSA here.
