RJD candidate Rana Randhir from Madhuban arrested

Motihari: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) candidate for Madhuban assembly seat Rana Randhir was arrested late yesterday night (Nov 12, 2005) for violation of model code of conduct, official sources said today (Nov 13, 2005).

Rana Randhir, son of party MP from Sheohar, Sitaram Singh and himself a member of the dissolved house, was arrested while stumping in Madhuban bazaar around 10 pm though campaigning had ended at 4 pm on Friday.

Sources said he was moving around with the bodyguard of his father and carrying a few bottles of liquor.

He has been forwarded to jail, sources at Madhuban police station said.

Madhuban is going to poll today.
