Manmohan, Sonia pay homage to Jawaharlal Nehru

New Delhi: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi led the nation in paying homage to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru on the occasion of his 116th birth anniversary today (November 14, 2005).

Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, Congress leaders P R Dasmunshi and Ashok Gehlot, Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit were among the other dignitaries who paid floral tributes to the architect of modern India at his samadhi in Shanti Van here.

Delhi Lt Governor B L Joshi and state Congress president Ram Babu Sharma were also present on the occasion.
