Children of Tsunami hit villages trained in sports

Pondicherry: A two-member team from Paris based Sports Sans Frontieres (sports beyond frontiers) is currently training children in Tsunami affected coastal villages in the union territory in various sports activities.

The duo, comprising Magali Du Creux and Chardon Norbett, have been in Pondicherry for the past few months, a press release from the team said.

Sports Sans Frontiers is a voluntary organization and the two members have specialized in coaching children in various disciplines. The objective was to enable children forget the tragedy of the Tsunami, the release said.

The team would train 50 children in the 5-16 age group in each of the four villages identified by the organization, for a period of one year, the release said.
