Kidnapped Ranvir Sena sympathiser returns: Official

Jehanabad: A Ranvir Sena supporter, who was kidnapped by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-M) guerrillas during Sunday night (November13, 2005) attack on Jehanabad jail, has returned, official sources said today (November 15,2005).

Ajay Sharma, one among the few abducted Ranvir Sena sympathisers, escaped from the clutches of his kidnappers at Pinjora village where they shot dead a Sena leader Visheshwar Rai whose body was recovered yesterday (November 14,2005).

There was a commotion after the killing and I jumped into a river and escaped from their clutches, a visibly shocked Sharma told PTI at the Sadar hospital here where he is being treated for a sprained leg.

Jehanabad District Magistrate Rana Avadhesh said, Sharma had given the administration vital information about the route followed by the retreating naxalites and police teams have been despatched in that direction.
