Chief Judicial Magistrate of Siwan A K Barial rejecting the bail petitions, accepted the government advocate plea that there was 'sufficient evidence' against the MP in all the
three cases.
These three were among the eight NBWs pending against the Siwan strongman for a long time.
The three cases related to recovery of sophisticated firearms during police raids at Shahabuddin's Pratappur residence in 2001, a case of power theft that was lodged after
a raid at his ancestral house at Pratapur on April 24 this year and another case of recovery of firearms from a close associate of the MP during raids on April 24 at his ancestral
house.
