The dates for Teetwal-Nauseri crossing are November 19 and 26; December 3 and 10. For Poonch-Rawalakote November 21 and December 5, External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Navtej Sarna announced today (Nov 17, 2005).

For Mendhar-Tattapani the dates are Novemeber 28 and December 12. Uri-Chakhoti crossing dates are November 17 and December 1. The Uri-Hajipur dates are November 25 and December 8, he said.

The two countries had agreed on October 29 to open five centres on the LoC to provide relief and medical assistance to quake victims from both sides of Kashmir.

It was agreed that because of non-availability of or damage to infrastructure on these points, crossings across the LoC would be permitted on foot.

While the first point at Chakan da Bagh was opened on November 7, Kaman Post in Uri was made operational two days after. On November 12, the Teetwal crossing in Tangdhar sector was opened while the fourth crossing point in Mendhar sector of Poonch district became operative from November 14. The fifth point connecting Silikote in Uri sector with Hajipir in PoK was opened yesterday.
