No one prepared for alliance with Jayalalithaa: FM
Sunday, November 20 2005 14:18 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Sivaganga (TN): With just a few months left for assembly elections in Tamil Nadu, Union minister for Finance P Chidambaram indicated that the Congress was not contemplating a new political tie-up in the state.

The Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) led DPA alliance was 'strong' and 'disciplined' and "Nobody is prepared for an alliance with the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) headed by Jayalalithaa," he told reporters here yesterday (Nov 19,2005) night.

The minister comments came in response to recent remarks by Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa that her AIADMK had an open eye on alliances for the Assembly elections due early next year.
