Sunday, November 20 2005 17:29 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

Vijayawada: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would continue its connection with Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) as it would take care of the 'party's good health', Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu today (Nov 20, 2005) said.

Addressing a BJYM Sammelan here, Naidu said RSS was a committed, disciplined and dedicated organization and BJP could not afford to loose its connection with it.

He further said, "The country was facing many problems and was not in safe hands in the wake of Volcker report on oil-for-food scam in Iraq and Mitrokhin archieves which claimed that the Soviet intelligence agency KGB had paid money to Congress.

Naidu alleged that the country was not actually run by the elected Prime Minister but by Sonia Gandhi, Communists and Lalu Prasad Yadav it is not United Progressive Alliance, but 'Ultapulta Alliance'.

BJP believed in Indian ideology and would like to maintain the Indian culture, civilization and character of India-ness in all its functioning.

"We are proud to say that BJP could provide a stable Government in the country", he added.

Naidu also opposed the issue of providing reservation on religious basis saying it would lead to dangerous situation in the coming days.

He also condemned cow slaughter and demanded a complete ban on it all over the country.

"Cow is the symbol of rural economy. The need of the hour is to save cow and its progeny", he added.

Referring to Naxalies menace in the country, he called upon Yuva Morcha activitists to protest against the activities of the ultras. The law and order situation has completely collapsed in Kashmir where everyday incidents of violence were reported, he added.
