A special court today (Nov 21, 2005) allowed CBI to take specimen signature of Monica Bedi, girl friend of underworld don Abu Salem, who was in judicial custody till November 25 in Chanchalguda jail here.
After hearing on a counter petition by Bedi's lawyer G Babu Rao, who had objected the petition of CBI, CBI judge asked public prosecutor T Venkat Ramana to take the signature of Bedi in the court on November 25.
The counsel for CBI, investigating into the passport forgery case, had filed a petition on Saturday last urging the judge to allow the agency to have specimen signature of Monica
Bedi for the purpose of investigation, which was objected by defense lawyer and sought time till today for filling counter.
Bedi's counsel today filed a counter petition and said there was no objection for taking specimen signature of his client.
