Kidnapped Indian driver's family worried, seek help Monday, November 21 2005 13:25 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

The family of Manniappan R Kutty, the Indian driver with the Border Roads Organsiation (BRO), who was kidnapped by the Taliban along with three others from the Nimroz province in Afghanistan yesterday (Nov 20, 2005), are keeping their fingers crossed praying for his safe return.
Maniappan hails from Haripad in Kerala's Alapuzha istrict. His elder brother, Haridas, today spoke to KPCC President, Ramesh Chennithala, seeking help for his brother's early and safe return.
Chennithala told sources that he had spoken to the Prime Minister's private secretary and External Affairs secretary his morning and they have promised that the needful was being one to ensure his safe return.
Maniappan, who had gone to Afghanistan on November 8, ad visited his relatives in Kerala few months ago.
