L K Advani stands by his decision to step down
Tuesday, November 22 2005 16:06 Hrs (IST) - World Time -

New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President L K Advani today (Nov 22, 2005) asserted there will be no change in his decision to step down at the party's Mumbai Plenary next month, in the wake of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) sweep in Bihar Assembly elections.

"So far as my decision to quit, I made a declaration in Chennai and I stand by it. There is going to be no change in it", he told reporters here when asked whether his stepping down close on the heels of the party's victory would affect its morale.

"Please do not connect the two", he said.
